Empire Training and Consultation is committed to equipping mental health professionals, paraeducators, youth support staff, and their supervisors with the essential skills to effectively support at-risk youth, individuals in congregate care and residential programs, and those facing academic challenges. Our mission is to provide exceptional training that empowers these professionals with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed in the child care sector. We offer a range of specialized programs, including a comprehensive 12-week counseling certification for direct care counselors, supervisor training focused on staff development, and an extensive library of in-service training options available both virtually and in-person. Together, we can help youth support staff unlock their full potential and make a lasting impact on the lives of the youth they serve.

About Kevin King

Leadership in Educational Management and Specialized Training Expertise

Kevin King earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University and has been with Seneca Family of Agencies since 2000, where he currently serves as the Training Content and Delivery Director at the Seneca Institute of Advanced Practice. In this role, he oversees curriculum development, training series leadership and ongoing Continuing Education classes and programs.
Mr. King's extensive background in educational and program management, including his previous roles as Program Director at various treatment facilities and Principal of a non-public school and a large charter school in East Oakland enriches his ability to deliver comprehensive and impactful training. His experience in managing diverse educational environments equips him with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and needs faced by all staff working with youth in congregate care and school-based education supports. This diverse expertise allows him to offer practical insights and strategies that can be directly applied to their work.
